About Lauren

  • How long have you been planning destination weddings?
I have been planning destination weddings since 2010. It brings me great joy to see happy couples in love!

  • Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
I love parties and romance so specializing in weddings and honeymoons were a natural for me. After planning my own destination wedding, as well as helping my sister plan hers, I realized I had a special talent for making these dream weddings a reality. I wanted to share that with others.

  • What’s your favorite part of the job?
So many newly engaged couples that I sit down with are overwhelmed and stressed. I love taking the pressure away from my brides and grooms and assure them that their wedding reflects their style while staying within their budget. There are so many resorts and destinations to choose from and having the experience of planning dreamy weddings for the past 5 years is what I do best!

  • Which destination is your favorite and why?
For honeymoons I would have to say Tahiti and the South Pacific Islands. There is just something magical about the breathtaking sunsets, crystal clear blue waters and those romantic overwater bungalows. For weddings, Mexico offers the best value. It’s easy and affordable for most guests. Plus, Mexico really knows how to throw a party!

  • Do you have a wedding story you would like to share with us?
I sat down with a bride and groom recently and they both wanted very different things. He wanted a party scene and she wanted romantic and quiet. We were able to put them at a resort that met both of their needs and was a perfect compromise. The wedding turned out great and they were both very happy!

  • Do you have a quick tip for us?
If you are planning a wedding destination or just thinking about one, contact a professional travel consultant who specializes in this field. Their knowledge is invaluable and will save you both time and money. If you are planning a large wedding, I would suggest hiring a wedding planning as well to take care of all the unseen on site details.
