About Celeste

  • How long have you been planning destination weddings?
After planning weddings for family and friends for over 3 years, I made planning Caribbean destination weddings a part of my business in 2018.

  • Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
My passion for planning destination weddings came to me in a roundabout way! Just a few years ago my husband and I became empty nesters, and sadly we'd grown apart. As a last ditch effort to save our marriage, we decided to book a romantic Caribbean getaway to reconnect, and haven’t stopped traveling to the Caribbean since! After renewing our vows on our 20th anniversary in Jamaica, I knew that I wanted to help other Brides have the Caribbean beach wedding experiences of their dreams, just like I did! In 2017, I became a Romance Travel Specialist and now, I help couples say "I do" in the world's most beautiful Caribbean destinations!

  • What’s your favorite part of the job?
After months of anticipation, my absolute favorite part of the job is seeing all the special "touches" the Bride and Groom planned for their guests come together perfectly on the big day. Oh, and the beach reception parties never disappoint!

  • Which destination is your favorite and why?
It’s hard to choose but it I had to pick one I would have to say Cayman Islands. I love the natural beauty of the island, the laid back feel, the crystal clear sea and the powdery white sand.

  • Do you have a wedding story you would like to share with us?
Now that my husband and I have renewed our vows in Jamaica, whenever we would go on vacation to the Caribbean, we sit on the beach and watch weddings ceremonies at our resort all day! Can you tell I'm obsessed with beach weddings? It's so fun, and I'm always mesmerized by how everyone's wedding ceremonies fit their personality, from formal to beach casual and fun!

  • Do you have a quick tip for us?
My advice for anyone who is thinking about having a destination wedding is to consider hiring a personal wedding planner or coordinator above and beyond the coordinator that is provided by the resort! Bonus points if your travel agent specializes in planning weddings in your destination of choice! I can't tell you how many horror stories I've heard about major details that were missed because the Bride and Groom were solely reliant on resort staff to manage the logistics of their special day! Your private destination wedding coordinator will be charged with providing your guests with end-to-end white glove care AND will go above and beyond to make sure that every single thing that's on your wedding day wish list is delivered as promised. Destination weddings can often feel overwhelming, so having that extra set of professional eyes, ears, and hands is like having insurance for your most special day!
